You may know already that to open the page listing anything you downloaded with Chrome browser, you can press the Ctrl+J keyboard shortcut. What if you wanted to clear this download list?

At the top right corner of the Downloads page, three vertical bullets hide a menu containing the Clear All option.

Unfortunately, you won’t find there mentioned a keyboard shortcut to clear the list of downloads.

To clear the history list of your downloads in Chrome just press Alt+C. Google should have made this shortcut known by making it visible beside the menu command. A lot of people are not always working with the mouse, especially on laptops. Ctrl+J to open Downloads is already a very useful hotkey, Alt+C is equally useful.
