Cleanup Assistant is a freeware hard drive maintainance and privacy protection program. Cleanup Assistant is designed for both Windows Vista and Windows XP.

It consists of 5 tools, each of which aids you in cleaning up your hard drive(s), both manually or automatically. It scans your hard drive(s) for large folders and gives you a more clear view of the way disk space is distributed in folders. It scans any given drive or folder for file duplicates. Compares multiple drives for duplicate files of any given file type. It removes unused junk and temporary files from your computer. Shreds your computer usage history. Permanently removes all files and/or folders from a fixed or removable drive, if you want to.

Cleanup Assistant is fast and reliable, but you can not define custom file extensions to be deleted. To do that, prefer Revo Uninstaller, a freeware that provides an advanced way of uninstalling your software, and also includes a cleanup tool that will let you define whatever extension of files you’d like removed.
