Jacques Paul Migne in the 19th century collected a large amount (169 volumes) of Greek patristic texts in an edition known as Patrologia Graeca, with the Greek original text and a Latin translation side by side.
For many of these works there exist now critical (improved) editions, but there are other texts for which Migne’s edition remains the only source.
Besides this, Migne’s Patrologia Graeca is a collection spanning many centuries and authors, offering thus a complete view of this vast literature.
