Create and mount strongly encrypted volumes for any folder or drive, with VeraCrypt
VeraCrypt is a free and reliable program that will let you create encrypted volumes for any of your folders or drives. It supports on-the-fly encryption, which means that your files are encrypted right when they are saved and decrypted whenever you open them, automatically, without you doing anything at all. Your files are not readable unless a user knows the right password or encryption keys. Everything is protected with strong encryption algorithms — file and folder names, the contents of your files, their meta data, etc).
Files are moved or copied being automatically encrypted or decrypted from or to encrypted volumes. Even when the volume is mounted, data remain encrypted and they are decrypted only on the fly, whenever you open a file.
