Tampermonkey is a free and powerful extension for Chrome that will let you use (or even write) some scripts that will make annoying web sites conform to your sense of what is acceptable! The extension is able to check for updates of any script you may have gotten from a web site.
Note that Tampermonkey will try to achieve some level of compatibility with the collection of scripts written for Firefox Greasemonkey extension, which is a bonus!
If you use two PCs, a desktop at home, a laptop elsewhere, etc., Tampermonkey is able to synchronize all instances to let you enjoy your scripts really globally!
Just in case you prefer to intervene in the way some web sites are built, Tampermonkey is a great script manager and editor you may like to try.
