If Windows search cannot find programs or documents

Cortana finds what you let her find. The other day I needed to run this program, I knew it was there, I was able to locate it with Windows Explorer, but Cortana wouldn’t find it!

Open your Indexing Options (just type in Cortana to open it) and you will see immediately all locations that are indexed.

Note that if you see a “Start Menu” location, it’s not enough for your programs to be indexed. You have to add, if there is not already there, your User Account location, or just all Users.

Click the Modify button to add any location you like to your Index and give Windows some time to update itself.

Enjoy!
