You may print your document in a normal printer or as pdf, only to find out that various elements, pictures or text, have changed place causing layout problems.
Communication between Word and your printer causes such annoyances, but they can be easily avoided.
Go to the Advanced options of Word, to the last section, “Compatibility options,” and scroll down the list until you see the option “Use printer metrics to lay out document.”
If you check this option you will see in Word what you will get when you print. Just take care, if you change printer, to check again your document and see if you need to make any adjustments to the layout.
Enjoy!
