Add, disable, enable or delete StartUp programs easily, with WhatInStartup

WhatInStartup is a free program that will let you disable, enable or delete programs running at the Windows startup. It displays a list of all applications that are loaded automatically when Windows starts up. For each application, the following information is displayed: Startup Type (Registry/Startup Folder), Command-Line String, Product Name, File Version, Company Name, Location in the Registry or file system, and more.

WhatInStartup allows you to easily disable or delete unwanted programs. You can use it on your currently running instance of Windows, as well as on an external instance of Windows in another drive.

WhatInStartup supports a special “Permanent Disabling” feature – If a program that you previously disabled added itself again to the startup list of Windows, WhatInStartup will detect the change and disable it again automatically.

Note that you cannot drag and drop to create new Startup entries. To have a program start with Windows go to File > Create New Startup Item.
