Locate efficiently large files and folders, with SpaceSniffer visualization
SpaceSniffer is a free and portable application that will help you understand how folders and files are structured on your disks. By using a Treemap visualization layout, you can have immediate perception of where large folders and files are placed on your devices.
Start a scan process and see the overall situation. The bigger the elements on view, the bigger the folders and files on your disk. If you need more detail on a big folder, click on it and it will appear in the details of its content. If you need a larger view of a small folder, double click on it and it’ll zoom to full view. You can also focus only on particular file types, by using filters (e.g. *.avi, *.tiff, etc).
The same way you can exclude certain file types. You can also filter on file size, file date and combine all filters. To keep track of files you can tag them (four colors are available). Once you have your result, you can produce a textual report by using an Export module.
