Exit all or any programs you like with a single click, using Close All Windows
Close All Windows is a free program you can use to close all explorer instances and all running applications with a single click. It does not use system resources because it only flashes a ‘close’ signal to all open windows and then exits.
Place a shortcut to this tool anywhere you wish and create even a keyboard shortcut if you like.
The program works just as if you were pressing the close button for each and every application separately. Note that the program won’t close everything blindly, but it will give a list with whatever is going to be closed to let you unselect items you want open, e.g. unselect Explorer, if you want to close everything except for Windows Explorer.
Check also Close All / Close Win, two similar utilities. For a more powerful utility, that will close all your programs without asking anything from you but only to save unsaved work, and then will Shutdown or Restart your computer, check Rapid Close.
