Create animated GIFs by recording your PC screen, with ScreenToGif
ScreenToGif is a free, light and portable program that lets you record your screen and save the recording as animated GIF image.
As a screen recorder the program resembles similar tools. It will give you a rectangle that you can resize to capture any part of the screen, whatever you are interested in, even pausing and resuming. You can record a movie playing in real time, some program performing a job, mouse moves and any program’s actions, etc.
The program provides editing options that are really useful, it lets you remove frames you don’t need. You can also use the program’s editor to modify other animated GIFs you may have created with other editors.
Note that ScreenToGif lets you save the recording not only as animated GIF but also as a video file.
