If you are not always with a hand in your mouse, you may like to move this tab to the left or right of some other tab instantly, using the keyboard. This is easily achieved with the “Keyboard Shortcuts to Reorder Tabs” extension.
The main keyboard shortcut this extension assigns is Ctrl-Shift-PgUp / PgDn, but you can also move the active tab to the first position with Ctrl-Shift-1, to the last position with Ctrl-Shift-9, and in mediate positions with Ctrl-Shift-<2..8>
Note that Chrome extensions with a content script (such as this) are not allowed to run in Chrome WebSstore; don’t be suprised if you are there and your tabs refuse to behave!
Note also that first time you install the extension you need to reload all of your current tabs if you need to work for them.
