Rename an active Word document without closing it
Sometimes we give a name when we create a Microsoft Word document, that later on as our work advances we prefer to change, to make it conform better with the content.
Is it possible to change the name of our Word document without locating it in Windows Explorer before we open it or after we close it? Here is a macro you can download and import in Word. The macro lets you rename the document you have currently open without having to close it and locate it in Windows Explorer.
The macro offers you the Save As prompt, saves your open document with a new name you decide, and deletes your old document.
* Read this post if you are not familiar with importing MS Word macros using .bas files.
