Make internet links open again in default browser

Normally when you have an internet shortcut anywhere in your folders, you can run it to open a web site in your browser.

Sometimes this functionality is lost, especially when you change your default browser let’s say from Firefox to Chrome or whatever, and then you revert this change to use again the previous browser.

Since you already have defined the desired browser as your default in the Windows Default Program Settings, here is what you need to do to solve your problem: re-install the browser.

You can go to the browser’s home page, download a copy of its installer to setup again your browser. Your bookmarks won’t be erased, and all your settings will remain intact, just like when your browser is automatically updated after a new version is released.

Enjoy!
