If Winamp refuses to save its plugin settings

You may try to change some settings in this great Winamp plugin only to find out next time you start Winamp that your favorite player did not save your changes.

This is an easy fix. The problem comes from the increased security of Windows 10. In order to be able to save your settings, Winamp has to be started in Admin mode.

Instead of just clicking to run, right click Winamp’s icon or its Start Menu entry and click the option “More” > “Run as administrator”

Now any change you may decide in any of your plugins will be saved and used in the future, whenever you run Winamp in normal or admin mode.

Enjoy!
