Disable ATI Hydra Vision
AMD Catalyst Control Center may not be that easy to use, at least if you don’t use it often to change settings. I had a problem recently with Hydra Vision, an application that contributes some options to Desktop management.
Hydra Vision changed its startup settings each time it started, making my StartUp Monitor to popup an alert, asking me if I wished this change.
I decided that I didn’t need Hydra Vision at all, and to avoid those startup alerts I had to disable its startup options. Hydra Vision is usually located at
C:\Program Files\ATI Technologies\HydraVision\HydraMD.exe,
but if you want to make sure it won’t startup again, you must configure it with the Catalyst Install Manager. Open “Programs and Features” in the Windows Control Panel, and run the AMD Catalyst Install Manager. Select the Custom Uninstall and check the option to remove HydraVision. You can not change just the startup settings of HydraVision, you have to remove it completely, but you can install it later easily, if you change your mind, by running again the Catalyst Install Manager. Enjoy!
