Clover is a free utility able to add tabs to Windows Explorer, forcing each Explorer window you open to be incorporated into Clover’s frame becoming a tab. You can use the tab the exact same way you use the tabs of a browser.

Clover is not an “ugly” tool, giving you tabs but destroying aesthetics, it is designed pretty well, it is functional and elegant.

Microsoft at last provided tabs for Windows Explorer on Windows 11, but, if you are on older versions you can try Clover.

Unfortunately Clover’s installer is in Chinese! You have to click buttons blindly to install it! Personally, I cleaned both checkmarks upon installation, for options I couldn’t know what they mean, and happily installation finished without problems.
