Praat is a free and efficient utility that lets you analyze speech and generate graphs adequate for scientific studies. The interface of the program is not exciting but it is convenient.
You can use Praat to analyze intensity, pitch, jitter and more. If you are familiar with sound analysis you won’t face any problem working with Praat, but extensive help files are also available.
To export an audio file you work with you can use several common high quality formats, such as wav or flac, even raw.
