If you are unable to open a Word document in Draft view
Normally when you check the Word option to “allow draft view”, when you save and close a document in draft view, next time it opens it will be again in draft view.
However, in real world things won’t always work as we expect. You may have “allowed draft view” only to find out that your document still opens in print view!
Your document is not possessed! Most probably you use a Word macro that runs when Word starts and activates print view!
Therefore, to solve your draft view problem, if you really need this view as default, locate the offending macro and change it or remove it. Enjoy!
