Export easily basic Word customizations (normal template)

You may need to transfer basic customizations you’ve made to Microsoft Word, such as font family and size, macros, etc, to your laptop copy of Office applications. This can be achieved easily just by replacing the default global / normal template of MS Word with the one containing your customizations.

To find your customized normal template go to Word Options > Advanced and locate the “File Locations” button. Click to open the File Locations panel where you will see the “User Templates” location.

If you have not changed in the past this location yourself, most probably it will be found at %appdata%\microsoft\templates. Open this or any folder referenced there, copy the normal.dot(m) file, and paste it in the relevant folder of your new Office installation.

Enjoy!

Being yourself an author or student you will perhaps appreciate especially this feature, that the very structure of the book will teach you how to work.

The book contains even chapters on how to prepare a document for professional publishers such as Amazon.

Reading Steven Adams' Writing a book or thesis in Microsoft Word you are surprised realizing it makes you want to work -- to think, write, use Word and be creative!
