Exit all or any programs you like with a single click, using Close All Windows

Close All Windows is a free program you can use to close all explorer instances and all running applications with a single click. It does not use system resources because it only flashes a ‘close’ signal to all open windows and then exits.

Place a shortcut to this tool anywhere you wish and create even a keyboard shortcut if you like.

Close All Windows is really useful if you work with many applications and want to get rid of them at once. It works just as if you were pressing the close button for each and every application separately. Note that the program won’t close everything blindly, but it will give a list with whatever is going to be closed to let you unselect items you want open, e.g. unselect Explorer, if you want to close everything except for Windows Explorer.

You can also use it for a complete Shutdown of your PC in a batch file along with a very efficient little utility called Brutus Shutdown. Check also Close All / Close Win, two similar utilities.
