Create and restore a Windows system clone image, even without rescue media, with Macrium Reflect

Along with AOMEI Backupper, Reflect is a reliable and easy to use free tool that may save you from disasters, in case some mistakes lead to severe problems with your PC that you cannot solve.

Macrium Reflect will help you to clone your disk. If you think that you don’t need it, because Windows offers its own system image restore utility, you are wrong. You can have an image saved with Windows File Recovery, and another one with Macrium, but, if you are going to choose between the two, use Macrium and forget about Windows Recovery.

Macrium Reflect Free supports: Differential Images for faster backups and reduced storage space, Auto verification, Pre-defined backup plan templates, Windows PE drivers automatically identified and, if possible, copied from the host OS, Boot menu to restore system images without inserting rescue media.

If you are going to use a Rescue Disk make sure it is created by the same version of Macrium Reflect that created the image file of your system, otherwise the program may not be able to recognize the image and restore it. If you find yourself in such a difficult situation, you need to download the version of Macrium Reflect that created the image file, create a rescue disk with this version, then use its rescue disk to boot your PC and restore the image.
