Freeware to protect your hands from overusing mouse and keyboard

The first application you need in order to minimize the use of the mouse, is one that will let you move your cursor and click with the keyboard. A very powerful and free is NumPad Transformer, but without drag & drop support; you’ll have to do this with the mouse – yet, to move a window a little to the left or to the right etc, you can use Gridy, an application that will let you use your keyboard to move the windows of open programs and arrange them as you want them on the screen. Gridy will even let you memorize the size of a window, so that next time you need to resize it, Gridy will do that for you automatically.

Combine NumPad Transformer and Gridy with Auto Click, an application that detects mouse movement, and when the mouse stops moving, it clicks without you having to press a button. Auto clicking is one of the most important functions you need if you want to minimize finger stress. If you use programs that require several clicks, so that you need to move and click the mouse many times, consider using an application that will let you auto type x messages or auto click x times.
