MSG is a format used by MS Outlook but not by other eMail programs while EML is fairly common. In case you need to send to someone messages in EML format or export your Outlook messages to import them in some other eMail program, this free add-in will help.
Convert MSG to EML is simple, you won’t face any difficulty to use it. Just install it and you will find its menu from inside Outlook. Select source and target folders to save, even in batch mode, your MSG messages in EML format.
Note that the add-in supports the conversion of subfolders and the use of unicode encoding. A commercial version of the add-in offers even more options such as its use in a domain environment.
