Watch (and change) the status of the Windows Firewall, with XPFiremon
October 2009 »If you need to know easily when the Windows default firewall is on or off, try XPFiremon, a small and free utility that monitors the firewall, placing an icon in the system tray, which is green when the firewall works, and turns to red when the firewall is disabled.
XPFiremon can also control the Windows Firewall, enable or disable or open it for configurations, from the same system tray icon.
The program supports auto updates of itself, directly downloading and installing newer versions – or letting you download them yourself manually.
