Add real time protection with Spyware Terminator
Spyware Terminator fights spyware, adware, trojans, keyloggers, home page hijackers and other malware threats. It can be integrated with ClamAV, a free AntiVirus program; if you want that, you’d better not install Avira, Avast or other antivirus programs. Just keep only one main AntiVirus, besides antispyware, to avoid trouble.
Suspect files found during the scan are moved into Quarantine. Spyware Terminator prevents them from functioning and causing further damage to your computer. You can review and choose to permanently remove suspect files or safely store essential files. If you remove a program by mistake, you can easily put it back.
You can scan your computer manually or schedule an in-depth scan to be performed on a regular basis. The scan process runs in the background so that you will not be disrupted while working on other tasks. Spyware Terminator can be set to automatically download updates.
Spyware Terminator is a good program, with a problem I consider serious: although it provides a white list, a list of programs you can define as safe, actually it doesn’t let those programs work unimpeded. For example, I used a shutdown utility that was always stopped by Spyware Terminator, which was not a problem, because I changed to Windows Rule shutdown utility. Yet other programs, which I can not find alternatives for, won’t work. This is the reason I uninstalled Spyware Terminator and I gave it a low rating.
