If you encountered a file with a .lit ending in its name and you don’t know what to do with it, you have two options: download Microsoft Reader to open it, or Convert LIT to convert it to a common format.

Lit files are eBooks and they are best handled by Microsoft Reader, a program that will let you browse, print, annotate, etc.
