Fix noise from PC speakers when CPU works harder

When you don’t play music you may hear a buzzing coming out of your PC speakers, especially when the processor works harder, even if you just browse the internet opening new pages!

I had to lower substantially the volume of my PC speakers when I was not playing any music, in order to avoid this annoying noise. Changing the volume of the audio player would not have any impact at all on this.

Buzzing problems may be caused by a sound card. The fix that finally worked in my case was to buy a cheap ($ 12) external USB audio adapter.

I connected my PC speakers to the headphones output of this adapter and the noise almost disappeared! I don’t hear but only a very soft buzzing even when the speakers’ knob is turned to the highest position (which I usually do in order to control audio level from the keyboard and not from the knob).

Enjoy!
