Display Windows Media Player track title on the taskbar

What’s the point of having the title of the currently loaded track on the Windows Taskbar, since on Windows 7 the taskbar shows just the icons of programs?

If you need to follow information that various programs display on the taskbar, such as download / upload speed displayed by torrent programs, eMule, etc., including track / artist information displayed by media players, you might already be using Taskbar Labels, a freeware that lets you toggle mode with a keyboard shortcut to reveal or hide the text beside taskbar icons.

Therefore, you are able to see text in the taskbar even on Windows 7. To have Windows Media Player show track information on the taskbar makes sense in this case, and you can do it by downloading a free plugin for WMP. Besides song info on taskbar, this plugin will give you also global hotkeys to control WMP, and more. — Enjoy!
